Settings Overview

A guide to every tab in the Sciwand Settings dialog, with a link to each.

Open Settings to configure Sciwand. Options are grouped into tabs:

  • Appearance - theme, accent color, font, and sidebar layout.
  • Prompts - saved custom prompts for quick analysis.
  • AI Models - connect chat model providers (see the AI Providers guide).
  • Embeddings - connect an embedding model for semantic search (see the AI Providers guide).
  • Advanced - API keys, processing limits, database location, and data resets.
  • Reference Managers - connect Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, and Bookends.
  • License - activate, manage, or purchase a license.
  • Word Add-in - the Microsoft Word integration (desktop).
  • Cloud Sync - sync across devices (coming soon).
  • What is New - release notes.
  • About - version and update checker.

On mobile, tabs are grouped into sections and desktop-only tabs (such as Word Add-in) are hidden.
