Claude (Anthropic)

Connect Anthropic Claude models to Sciwand. No Claude Pro subscription needed - the API is pay-as-you-go.

Claude, by Anthropic, is strong at long-document reasoning and careful writing.

No subscription needed. A Claude Pro or Max plan (on claude.ai) does not include API access - the API is billed separately as pay-as-you-go.

Step 1 - at Anthropic

  1. Sign in to the Anthropic Console (separate from claude.ai).
  2. Go to API keys, create a key, and copy it.
  3. Open Billing and add a small amount of credit, or requests will fail with a billing error.

Step 2 - in Sciwand

  1. Open Settings -> AI Models, then click Manage (or Add Model) to open Configure Models.
  2. Select Claude, then click Configure.
  3. Paste the key into API Key and click Save Changes.
  4. Tick models such as Claude Sonnet or Claude Opus.

Notes

  • Claude is vision-capable, so it can also serve as your Vision Model.
