The PDF Reader

Sciwand includes a full PDF reader for studying papers - read, search, highlight, ask AI, and export. Open it by clicking a PDF in your library, in search results, or from the Docs tab of the smart sidebar. On desktop each PDF opens in its own tab; on mobile it opens full screen.

The reader has three main parts:

• A top toolbar for navigation, zoom, search, and annotation tools.
• A left sidebar with page thumbnails, the document outline, and your annotations.
• A right AI sidebar for asking questions about the paper.

You can also export your highlights as a clean, reformatted article (PDF, Markdown, or HTML).
