Appearance
Set the theme, accent color, font, and sidebar layout in Sciwand.
The Appearance tab controls how Sciwand looks and how the sidebar is arranged.
Theme
- Appearance mode - choose System (match your device), Dark, or Light.
- Dark theme - when dark mode is active, pick a variant: Default Dark, Graphite, Midnight, or Void. Selecting Void reveals a Background Darkness slider.
- Light theme - when light mode is active, pick a variant: Default Light, Catppuccin Latte, Classic Light, or Parchment.
- Accent color - choose a preset or a custom color for buttons, links, and highlights. Very light custom colors are darkened automatically so text stays readable.
- Font style - Default (each theme decides), Sans, Serif, or Mono.
Sidebar
- Sections - drag to reorder the sidebar sections (My Collections, plus any connected reference-manager libraries) and toggle each one on or off. Reset order restores the default. Reference-manager sections appear only when that manager is connected.
- Folders - hide specific folders from the sidebar, grouped by source (Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, Bookends). Untick a folder to hide it.
