Sciwand can turn your highlights and notes into a clean, reformatted article - a readable document built from what you marked up, not just a copy of the PDF.

You can save it to a file on your computer, or save it back into Sciwand as an attachment on the paper.

What you get

The exported document is organised for reading:

  • A header with the title, authors, year, and journal (from the paper metadata).
  • Your highlights in reading order, grouped by page, with any comments shown beneath them.

Shaping the output

A few options let you control the result:

  • Hide page numbers and hide highlight colors for a cleaner look.
  • Map highlight colors to styles so your colors become structure - for example one color becomes a heading, another a quote, another normal text. This lets you highlight as you read and get a structured draft on export.
